H. Andy Crews Is Named 2015 TIME Dealer of the Year
SAN FRANCISCO (Jan. 23, 2015) – New Hampshire Auto Dealer H. Andy Crews is the 2015 TIME Dealer of the Year.
Representatives from TIME and Ally Financial presented the award at the general session of the 2015 NADA Convention & Expo in San Francisco. The standing-room only audience gave Crews a standing ovation as he received the award.
Crews—onstage with his wife, Melissa, and one of their two daughters, Tyler—spoke of starting his career as an automotive technician and moving up through the ranks, dreaming that he would one day become a dealer.
“I told [my wife] that one day I would be there,” he said of a time he saw a photo array of past Dealers of the Year. “She was one of the only people who believed in my dreams. Those that said ‘You’ll never be a dealer’ just made me work harder.”
Crews was selected from among an elite group of U.S. dealers recognized at the ceremony. Tim Russi, president of Auto Finance at Ally, and Mark Ellis, senior vice president of corporate sales for TIME, announced the winner and finalists during the convention’s opening session.
The other 2015 finalists, selected by their regions, were:
- Greg Goodwin, Kuni Automotive, Vancouver, Wash.
- Michael Shannon, Holiday Automotive, Fond du Lac, Wis.
- Greg York, Vann York Auto Group, High Point, N.C.
Known as “The Automotive Industry Event of the Year,” the NADA show runs at the Moscone Center concurrently with the American Truck Dealers Convention & Expo. Both shows conclude Jan. 25. For more information, visit nadaconvention.org.
